about us

We’re a small group of people who play solitaire more than we probably should and decided to do something useful with that habit.

This site started simply enough. We kept finding ourselves wanting a reliable place to read about solitaire strategy — not surface-level tips recycled from other sites, but real analysis of why certain moves work, how different variations compare, and what separates players who win consistently from those who don’t. That resource didn’t really exist in the form we wanted, so we built it.

The focus here is AARP Solitaire and the classic card game traditions it draws from. Klondike is the foundation, but we cover other variations too — FreeCell, Spider, Canfield, Golf, and others — because serious solitaire players tend to move between games and benefit from understanding how each one thinks differently.

Everyone who contributes to this site is a genuine player. That matters because it shows in the writing. There’s a difference between content produced to fill a page and content written by someone who spent an hour last night stuck on a board and figured something out. We aim for the second kind, every time.

We’re not affiliated with AARP. We’re independent, and the site exists purely because we care about the game and want to write about it well. No agenda beyond that.

What you’ll find here is straightforward — honest guides, practical strategy, and the kind of advice that actually helps you play better rather than just making you feel like you learned something. We keep things plain and direct because that’s what we’d want to read ourselves.

If something we’ve written helped your game, that’s the whole point. If you have questions, suggestions, or just want to talk solitaire, the contact page is there and we actually read what comes in.

Thanks for visiting. Now go play a hand.
